Ron Paul and the writers' strike

Gee, who would have guessed? He not only doesn't support it, he's willing to be the first Presidential candidate, even among Republicans, to cross their picket line (Ron Paul Crosses Writers’ Picket Line by Seth Michaels, AFL-CIO Weblog 12/05/07):

Paul became the first presidential candidate to cross the picket line of the Writers Guild yesterday when he appeared on ABC's "The View."

... While so far no other Republican candidate has crossed a picket line, none has made a significant effort to support striking workers this year.

This year, Paul voted against the Employee Free Choice Act, which would make it easier for workers to exercise their freedom to form a union.
Only someone who has been completely unaware that Paul is a flaming rightwinger would be surprised at this.
