Two blog alerts

I wanted to mention two blogs, one of which recently resumed activity, the other of which I just discovered recently.

The one resuming posting is Edward Sebesta's Tracking the Neo-Confederates.

It's definitely of interest for anyone following the influence of the hardcore radical right in the Republican Party and the ways in which popular understanding of history can be influenced by dedicated crackpots. And, unfortunately, both are bigger problems than even a lot of liberals would like to think.

I talk more about his blog and pass along some other links at Old Hickory's Weblog: Edward Sebesta's blog returns: "Tracking the Neo-Confederates".

The other is called Atlantic Review, which focuses on issues affecting German-American relations.

Jörg Wolf's 12/011/05 post Carnival of German American Relations provides a number of links to blogs that post on that subject. Including, I must immodestly say, Old Hickory's Weblog.

Check them both out.
