Britney to make bold postmodern artistic attack on Christian Right

Little Boo is getting back in the artistic act, with a new twist that seems well suited to her innovative, postmodern consciousness. Spears to Guest Star on 'Will & Grace' AP/Yahoo! News 01/31/06:

Britney Spears will guest star on an episode of "Will & Grace," NBC announced Tuesday. The pop star will appear as a Christian conservative sidekick to Sean Hayes' character, Jack, who hosts his own talk show, on the April 13 episode, the network said.

Jack's fictional network, Out TV, is bought by a Christian TV network, leading to Spears contributing a cooking segment called "Cruci-fixin's."
"Cruci-fixin's", you just gotta love that.

Boo has good reason to use a part like this to reorient the public gaze to see the true dangers of the Christian Right. The fundis have been trashing her ever since she first became popular. Yes, it's hard to believe that Britney hasn't always been an integral part of our culture. But it's true.

I never understood why they were so down on poor Little Boo. With her being such a nice, sweet Baptist girl and all!
