This was the daily "Sally Forth" cartoon by Steve Alaniz and Fracesco Marciuliano for 03/27/07. Ted had discovered telenovelas the previous day and explained to Sally, "It's called a telenovela and every episode should win an Emmy!"
I'm not sure from this if poor Ted realized he could get English subtitles through closed captioning.
