New Kasey Chambers songs

Kasey Chambers and her (second) husband Shane Nicholson have a new CD coming out in Australian release soon, called "Rattlin' Bones". Here a video of the title song:

This an older performance of Kasey singing "Saddle Boy", which I really like. (I pretty much like all her songs, but that's another story.)

That song has a memorable lines, "And the jackass's laugh/Is the only epitaph/On the grave of the brave saddle boy". The song was written by Slim Dusty, a well-known songwriter and singer in Australia. That's Kasey's father Bill Chambers singing with her. He usually plays in her band and does the occasional duet with her.

And here's one of my favorites, which I've posted before. It's Kasey doing a self-parody, "Am I Not Nasel Enough?" It also is kind of a satire on country music more generally, too.

That parody is sung to the tune of her song "Not Pretty Enough", which she has said was inspired by Britney Spears. Britney's influence reaches all over the world, to all types of music, it seems.
