This video shows some brief excerpts from the convention presentations.
This is the video presentation that Barack Obama did for the convention that was presented on Saturday evening:
In that video at around 5:15 is the part where Obama mentions ending "the tyranny of oil". Not a goal that the current administration could ever be imagined following. Nor an administration headed by John McCain.
Netroots Nation plans to make videos of the main sessions and panels available online, but their Web site doesn't have dates yet. You can see YouTube videos of other parts of the convention, including Al Gore's Saturday speech (Part 1 and Part 2).
Eileen Smith, editor of TexasMonthly.com, has posted a view videos she did at the convention at the magazine's Poll Dancing blog (scroll down).
There are plenty of good posts on the convention from Pandagon, Glenn Greenwald, TPM (several posts and videos; scroll down to July 17-20); FireDogLake (which at this writing appears to be undergoing one of the denial-of-service attacks to which they've been subjected lately); Duncan Black (Atrios); and, of course, Daily Kos.
I see Greg Mitchell of Editor & Publisher, who was at the convention, has also posted at Daily Kos on the idiotic Austin American-Statesman front page piece that I mentioned in my previous post (Austin paper mocks NN today on front page 07/20/08).
Joan McCarter's (McJoan) Daily Kos piece, Iraq, Looking Back, and Forward 07/20/08, is particularly noteworthy; I attended the "War Pundits" panel at which both she and Greg Mitchell appeared.
Ari Melber of The Nation also posts about the convention in Netroots Summit Grapples with Bipartisan Attacks on Rule of Law The Notion blog, 07/18/08.
