What do you mean, not a Democrat?

Several years ago I saw an interview with the actress Eliza Dushku (Faith from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel) in which she was asked if she was a Democrat. She looked grumpy and said something to the effect of no, but I don't go around saying that because I want to work in this town again.

So I figured she was a Republican. She's a good actress. I really liked her latest Josh Whedon sci-fi series Dollhouse which sadly had it's last episode airing this past Friday.

So when I saw this Twitter entry of hers last November to a piece that sounded political, I clicked on it to see how severe her Republican leanings were:


The article is by a JColeman who writes, "My hope is that progressives, for their part, begin to talk openly of the alternative to Obama’s centrism and to capitalist empire. That would be an American socialism."

Oh, so that's what she meant when she said she wasn't a Democrat!
