The Congressional Review Act and how the Republicans plan to use it

Reporter Brian Beutler and Eliot Spitzer explain a tactic the Republicans are telegraphing they will use in the incoming Congress to set up symbolic conflicts between themselves and the Obama White House on regulations.



One of the biggest weaknesses of the Democratic Party in face of today's authoritarian Republican Party is that the Dems are far too relectant to make high-profile fights they expect to lose in order to affect the political narrative, the larger frameworks in which voters view the contests between the two parties.
