Josh Barro on Romney and the "47%"

This is an interesting interview with Josh Barro on Bloomberg TV. Barro's opinion piece after Mitt Romney's now infamous "47%" comments became public attracted a lot of attention. What's particularly interesting to me is that the interviewers ask some probing questions. But that seems to be less because they were prepared than because they were pretty poorly informed about how income taxes work.

Barro: Romney's Comments Were Not Presidential Bloomberg TV

Barro's column was Today, Mitt Romney Lost the Election Bloomberg Opinion 09/17/2012:

The really disastrous thing is the clip about "victims," and the combination of contempt and pity that Romney shows for anyone who isn't going to vote for him.

Romney is the most opaque presidential nominee since Nixon, and people have been reduced to guessing what his true feelings are. This video provides an answer: He feels that you're a loser. It's not an answer that wins elections.
