"Página/12" (Argentina) reacts to the US Presidential election

The Argentine paper Página/12 ran an unsigned article on Wednesday after the American Presidential election, Trump dio el batacazo e hizo temblar al mundo 09.11.2016:

Esta elección marcó, acaso, el final de una época. El mundo adopta lentamente una nueva configuración, alejándose de los consensos que marcaron el final de la guerra fría y la trancisión entre el siglo XX y el siglo XXI. Los desafíos son inéditos, para los Estados Unidos y para el mundo que deberá lidiar con esta nueva iteración de la superpotencia, en manos de un hombre sin experiencia en política internacional, administración pública ni defensa. Lo que hay en el futuro son muchos más interrogantes que respuestas. Durante un año y medio el planeta se preparó para esta elección pero lo que sucedió anoche no parece un final sino más bien un comienzo, un comienzo de algo peligroso.

[This election perhaps marks the end of an era. The world is slowly adopting a new configuration, abandoning the consensus that marked the end of the Cold War and the transition between the 20th century and the 21st. The challenges are unprecedented, for the United States and for the world that it will be obliged to lead with this new iteration of its superpower status, in the hands of a man without experience in international politics, public administration or defense. What there will be in the future are lots of questions without answers. The planet prepared itself for this election for a year and a half. But what happened last night doesn't look like an ending but more like the beginning, a beginning of something dangerous.]
