The Christian Science Monitor has been doing something for a few months now that I find really appealing. They provide audio with a lot of their lead news stories now with the reporter telling the story.
I'm a skeptic of "multitasking", because what we call multitasking is really doing a series of different tasks in rapid succession. So when you have a task that requires some sustained concentration, multitasking doesn't exactly do the trick.
Having said all that, though, I often listen to radio or recorded programs while I'm working at the computer on things that don't necessarily require total sensory isolation from all other matters. And the Monitor's audio feature has become a favorite.
This is a good example, with the audio actually longer than most of them: Another Beatles book? Yes, maybe the best ever by John Kehe 02/05/08 (accessed 02/04/08). The audio is an interview with Jonathan Gould, author of Can't Buy Me Love: The Beatles, Britain, and America (2007).

First time I've gone to their website and I'm surprised but the radio reports add a lot of value to the written word.
I don't have enough time to read all of the stories here, but I do listen to a few of the radio reports and like them.
