This is an interesting story about children who were stolen from political prisoners, mainly focusing on cases from Argentina but also in Uruguay: Children of the 'Disappeared' Tell Their Stories by Marcela Valente, Inter Press Service 11/25/08.
It's about a new book by Analía Argento, De vuelta a casa. Historias de hijos y nietos restituidos, describing 10 cases of children stolen from their parents who were imprisoned and/or killed during El Proceso, the military junta that ruled Argentina from 1976-1983.
This phenomenon is also the subject of the excellent movie Cautiva (2003).
